Apple의 iPhone, Google android기반의 HTC G1폰, HTC의 TouchPro, Nokia의 Sybian 기반의 폰등이 각축을 벌이고 있는 스마트폰 시장이 점점 전쟁터로 변해가고 있는 현 상황에서 스마트폰의 강자 RIM의 발걸음도 빨라지고 있습니다. 얼마전에는 MS에서 RIM에 인수를 제안했다는 소문도 있었으며, 인수설에 대해서는 아직 정확하게 발표된 내용은 없습니다.
새로운 터치스크린폰 BlackBerry Storm
RIM(Research In Motion) 최초로 터치스크린을 적용한 모델로, 'Click Through'라는 자체 개발한 터치엔진을 적용했으며, 보이스 메일 및 풀 브라우징, 320만 카메라 내장등의 스펙을 가지고 있습니다. Verizon Wireless를 통해 출시될 예정이며, iPhone 3G와 견주어도 충분히 승산이 있다는 평을 받고 있다고 합니다. RIM은 email 솔루션 부분에서는 iPhone보다 강점이 있다고 볼 수 있습니다.
